Fred Fox Scholarship in Science Education
History of the Award: The fund was implemented in 1996 and provides scholarships for pre-service students preparing to teach science.
Eligibility Criteria: Pre-service mathematics teachers in the one-year graduate Professional Teacher Education Licensure Program who;
Award Amount: To be determined by the scholarship committee.
Selection: Selection of recipients will be coordinated by the Department of Science and Mathematics Education Scholarship Committee.
1. Cover letter;
2. Résumé where you identify how these experiences have supported you in your goal to become a mathematics teacher;
3. Essay (2-3 double-spaced pages in which you respond to the following statements):
a. Your potential, enthusiasm and commitment for excellence in mathematics teaching;
b. Your motivation and commitment to students in learning in elementary, middle or high school mathematics.
