Specific attention is directed at the interaction of schools, learners, pedagogy, subject matter and curriculum. The program supports the following outcomes:
- A Master of Science degree in Science Education or Mathematics Education
- An Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices (TSPC) Initial License with authorizations to teach at the middle and high school levels.
- The specific subject matter endorsements include:
- Biology
- Chemistry

- Advanced Mathematics
- Physics
The Initial Licensure program is a fifth-year, 50-graduate credit, professional program preceded by a 15-credit pre-professional program that may be completed in two ways:
- A. Coursework taken concurrently with the undergraduate Bachelor's degree program in an appropriate field that also meets the subject matter competencies;
- B. Coursework taken during the summer session prior to the ten-month cohort program.
